Introduction
Are you looking for a possible career in the Creative Arts – this could be the course for you as you will learn more about acting, directing and all related performing arts. This exciting course is taught in a full working theatre and students will have access to fully equipped theatre spaces and rehearsal rooms as well as working on site specific and touring productions. Through a unique collaboration with the George Eliot Fellowship Students will have the opportunity to work on an originally commissioned play as part of the International Literary Festival. Assessed through a number of core units students will learn more about the Performing Arts business and learn more about how to achieve in the industry. The Creative Arts is one of the most vibrant success stories of the UK economy in recent years and is one of the few areas which offer increasing employment opportunities. Additional optional units comprise the remainder of the course and allow the students some flexibility in their chosen study path. All teaching staff in the Performing Arts department have worked in the industry and provide a realistic learning experience In addition you will be learn through Professional Practice, Master Classes and visiting industry professionals and theatre trips.

As part of a vocational course we like to provide a learning environment as close as possible to industry standards, students will therefore be expected to put in work hours outside the normal college day.
Progression Options
Learners could go on to study at Higher Education at University or Drama School as well as gaining some important life skills that are important skills for employment both in and out of the Performing Arts Sector.
