Communication and Culture is a brand new subject that will get you to step outside the classroom and mix it with people, with media, with music, with real stuff that affects each and every one of us. Communication is a ‘living’ topic. It’s about how you interact with people, how you exchange ideas, how you influence others and are influenced yourself. Culture is a jigsaw puzzle of different influences that come from your family. Communication and Culture together help us understand one another and help improve our world. This is one subject where your own ideas will be encouraged. Develop them, get communicating and you could really go places!

This is an exciting course to be studied as an additional qualification alongside you’re A level programme as a fourth subject in the 2nd yr or a 5th subject in year 1 – the course is designed as an opportunity for advanced study for those students who are already taking two creative subjects as it will complement their existing study. The course can also fit neatly with an Extended Project in the Creative Arts. After one year at AS students will be able to progress onto the full A2 Level given sufficient demand. From here students could progress into higher education or specialist Dance/Drama schools.
